While in Norway, we went out of our way to stay in a (magical) farmhouse airbnb. It was extra special because the owner (Sigurd) grew up on the farm and could tell us about his childhood there and about his ancestors. In the common area they had family albums that spanned a hundred years’ time and included formal portraits made in the nearest photo studio – Lillehammer.
If you are planning a trip to Norway, here’s the link to stay at the Blessom Farm. You will get to meet the cat, who is best friends with the sheep (it’s as cute as it sounds.)
